About IJAEC
International Journal of Architecture, Engineering and Construction (ISSN 1911-110X [print] and ISSN 1911-1118 [online]), IJAEC, is a scholarly peer-refereed journal that promotes scientific, technical and managerial advances as well as innovative implementations and applications in the three intertwined disciplines serving the needs of the built environment: Architecture, Engineering and Construction.

Launched in 2012, IJAEC publishes original research papers, state-of-the-art review papers, novel industrial applications and insightful case studies in a broad scope of topics related to the three disciplines.

*There is no fee of any kind charged for publishing in IJAEC.*

Best Paper Award
The IJAEC Best Paper Award is given annually to recognize the contribution of a paper published in IJAEC to the theory and practice in Architecture, Engineering and Construction and the originality and technical competence of the paper. Specifically, three best papers are chosen for Architecture, Engineering and Construction respectively and one best paper for Management in general for the three intertwined disciplines. Each best paper award includes a plaque and a cash reward of US$1,000.

Award Committee
The Award Committee consists of the four editors for Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Management, and five members from the Editorial Advisory Board of IJAEC. Members of the Editorial Advisory Board are the leading figures in Architecture, Engineering and Construction.

Selection Criteria
The award is given annually to the most innovative and insightful paper published in the previous volume/year of IJAEC that contributes to the theory and practice in Architecture, Engineering and Construction.
To be considered for the award, a paper should meet the following criteria:
  • Addressing an issue that is practically important and/or theoretically meaningful
  • Following a rigorous research approach
  • Appreciating relevant theoretical and empirical literature
  • Providing appropriate interpretations and drawing logical inferences on the implications of the research results
  • Pointing out the directions for future research and practice
